Why a CMS Website?
The first biggest advantage of owning a CMS website is "version control." This means you are able to manage changes to your documents when they are in need of updating or editing. Setting permissions makes it possible for more than one person to add, edit and/or delete content in your website. Amazingly, it can be done right from your browser with immediate display, from different media devices, such asyour computer, cell phone, ipad, etc.
Generally, website owners have to contact their developer to do any type of editing and/or updating. You also hear something along the lines of," this will cost $40 an hour" (or more) and may take a day or two, maybe weeks before you fit into their schedule. By then your updates are falling behind. A site not using a CMS makes it impossible for the not-so-techy person, to update information, but a site using CMS allows you, the owner, or anyone you choose, to update information "on-the-fly". No need to know HTML!
